Clubs & Publications

School clubs at SCPA have developed as an outgrowth of the interests and hobbies of the students and must be ASB approved. Meeting times and locations are determined by the staff advisor and club president and communicated. A list of club advisors and meetings locations will be posted HERE, as well as in the Finance Office. All sanctioned clubs and school organizations may post notices/flyers on the kiosk in the quad after they have been approved by the ASB Advisor. All clubs must have copies of their constitution and rosters on file in the ASB Office the Finance Office to be official school clubs. Clubs must process all finances through the Finance Office. Clubs must submit fundraising requests and receive approval from ASB prior to conducting fundraisers.

NECESSARY FORMS

1. Join the SCPA ASB Facebook page.

2.Clubs Constitution: For the Club Constitution, the students need only submit pages 9-10, 26, 30. Signatures from the financial office, principal, and ASB adviser are only gathered after you submit the constitution to room 110 by September 23, 2016. Please do not have students requesting signatures before they have been approved by ASB. Thefirst 20 club constitutions submitted become SCPA clubs pending approval by the ASB Advisor and Principal Farson.

3. Advisers please remember to take and submit the "Top Ten Things You Should Know" quiz based on the following PowerPoint. Submit to Mrs. Colette Thomas.

4. All fundraisers must be approved 3 weeks in advance -- one Fundraising Event Request Form (submit to room 110) and an Off or On Campus Activity form (submit this form to Gloria Garcia for admin and calendar approval). New this year is that every fundraiser must also have a revenue projection sheet demonstrating that the fundraiser should make money. No fundraisers will be approved without this document. All transactions need a receipt and documentation. We have included a tally sheet and deposit slip for your convenience. For auditing purposes, tally sheets must match deposit slips. Please see Gloria Garce in the finance office for further details.

5. If your club is raising money use the easy budget creator: http://www.nhusd.k12.ca.us/userfiles/file/Forms/ASB%20Organized/budgetO-005-4.pdf. This will allow you to track your expected revenue and expenses. A budget is required before you may raise funds.

6. If you are advising a club meeting after school, please have the meeting planned on the calendar so the front office will know when, who is involved, and where the club is taking place.
