Michelle Cash Fields is a historian that graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in History in 2003. Shortly thereafter, she moved to San Diego and pursued her single-subject teaching credential at San Diego State University. During her coursework at SDSU she acted as a student teacher in Roxanne Pompilio’s AP US History class at the SDSCPA. Following her completion of the program in 2007 she was offered a position at the school and has since taught AP, Honors, and Regular U.S. History, Identity & Agency, Government/Economics, and AVID. In 2015 she received her M.A. in American History from Norwich University in Vermont. She has acted as the History/Social Science department chair and represented them on the Instructional Leadership Team, served on the School’s Site Council, and is the school’s website administrator.
In her free time, Ms. Cash Fields enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and activities that give her the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors including hiking, rock climbing, cycling, and snowboarding. She has traveled across the world including to Brazil, Panama, Southeast, and Europe. She is the proud mom of Ty Summit and Andyn Ruby Fields.
