Hello, it is a pleasure to be here to serve the SDSCPA family. I hail from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Degree in Mass Communications, while simultaneously working in the network television industry. After weathering many extremely cold winters in Wisconsin, I decided to move to America's Finest City.
My employment history in San Diego includes working for General Dynamics, University of Phoenix and US Airways. I later decided to return to school to study Counseling and received my School Counseling Credential and Masters Degree in Counseling & Educational Psychology from Chapman University. My latest studies include my PhD in Psychology from Northcentral University.
After receiving my credentials, I worked for the Chula Vista Elementary School District as an Intervention Counselor and San Diego Regional Center as a Social Work Counselor. My career with SDUSD began in 2000 and includes ALBA Community Day School, John Muir K-12 Magnet School, and Mark Twain Main High School. I arrived at the SDSCPA in the fall of 2011.
I live in La Mesa, CA, with my husband, Rolando and our Papillion, Cali. My children, products of the SDUSD, are college graduates and successful in their choice careers. In my spare time, I enjoy time with family including with our grand daughter, Giuliana. I also love reading, traveling, dabbling in various arts mediums, yoga, cycling and other physical exercise.
