I love theatre, I love technology, I love to learn, and I love to teach!
I received my Associate of Arts Degree in Technical Theatre from Grossmont College before transferring to San Diego State University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I spent several years working with San Diego arts organizations before joining the technology dotcom craze. The dotcom dotbombed, and I returned to school to pursue my childhood dream of teaching. I teach Technical Theatre and 9th Grade English at SDSCPA, following 11 years of teaching Technical Theatre at CPMA. In 2012, I realized my goal of obtaining my Master of Education degree with a specialization in Cross-Cultural Education from National University. In addition, I completed the Microsoft Innovative Educator Course (15 hours), Intel Teach Program Essentials Course (32 hours) and over 40 hours of Educational Technology courses offered through the district. I have attended the CUE (Computer Using Educators) conference for three years, completed Tier 1 GATE certification and taken additional courses in Educational Technology, Classroom Management, and building creative lessons. I am thrilled to have a profession that combines all that I love! |
